Development project involving the metro station planned at the Changsha. Inside the site, there is a vertical interval as high as 15m. Under this situation, the problem is how to treat the huge volume whose floor area ratio is as much as 500% and connect to the metro station.
In this case shopping area is planned along the steep slope, but general horizontally long elevation cannot absorb the vertical interval because the gap between shop and slope will be easy to bigger. Then put the long and narrow rectangular volumes along the slope. Each rectangul stands according to the ground in front of itself.
Windows are put at random letting the border of the floors ambiguous, so that the long and narrow shape of the rectangular is emphasized. In spite of the huge floor area ratio as much as 500%, a sense of oppression is reduced due to the very slim proportion, thus this building complex connects the each levels from the metro station to the high ground absorbing the site context.
